Magic Mirror Award
A diagnosis of breast cancer is devastating but for those without health insurance, the news is even more distressing as they find themselves in debt just ridding themselves of the tumors with no hope for having their breasts reconstructed. In conjunction with the 8th Annual OC Breast Cancer Fundraiser, a search is being conducted for stories of women who have found themselves in this predicament. One of them will be honored with the inaugural Magic Mirror Award and will earn no-cost breast reconstructive surgery through the Magic Mirror Foundation, a nonprofit started by board-certified plastic surgeon Michael Niccole, M.D., medical director of CosmetiCare in Newport Beach. During the event, Niccole will announce that CosmetiCare will donate a portion of all breast augmentation surgeries in April to the OC Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Please share your nominees story in 250 words or less, and explain what winning this award would mean for her. The award is to help one special woman get closer to loving the way she looks, and giving her femininity back to her.
